O.R.P Surveillance Ltd, based in Welshpool and founded in 1998, design, install and maintain complex CCTV surveillance systems for industrial, commercial, and agricultural properties, as well as for the Public Sector. Catering nationally, we cover predominately the West Midlands and Mid Wales. We consistently deliver cutting edge surveillance systems of the highest quality, installed by our small team of highly professional engineers.
Training:
The successful candidate will acquire a comprehensive understanding of the installation, set up and maintenance of complex digital, HD and IP CCTV systems, including Access Control Systems, WiFi installation, Wireless microwave CCTV, covert CCTV, traffic survey cameras and long-distance wireless microwave data and video systems. You will gain a PAL card, with qualifications for working at height.
Key Responsibilities:
These will include planning workloads and time management; liaising with customers; stock checks and maintaining tidiness of your van and the depot; using power tools, ladders, hand tools and powered access platforms to install systems; completing pre-use checks on equipment and vehicles; and completing work description forms for each site visited. You will be expected to visit the depot each morning before travelling to a number of sites each day using a company vehicle.
Essential criteria:
You will be expected to have a full UK driving licence. The successful candidate will need to have a reasonable level of fitness, as the job will involve restricted access work and working at heights. Candidates will be expected to have a professional attitude, good communication skills, and be able to work well within a small team. Computer literacy is essential. A company vehicle, mobile phone, laptop, uniform, and PPE will be provided. The successful candidate will be subject to a DBS check.
Desirable criteria:
The successful candidate must be highly motivated, adaptable, fast learning, and able to work well on their own initiative. They will also have experience in computer networking and of wireless links. They will need to have a keen interest in technology and computing. An understanding of health and safety would be beneficial.
Hours and Wages:
The successful candidate will initially pass a probationary period before being offered a permanent position within the team. Standard hours are 8am until 5pm, Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend, early morning and evening work. Flexibility will be required with working times, due to the nature of the installations carried out. When the successful candidate is fully trained, this could also include covering out of hours remote system support.
O.R.P Surveillance Ltd has a generous holiday allowance.
Basic annual salary would start between £18,000 and £23,000 + OT, depending upon the experience of the successful candidate.
